Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Watching: should be watching Heroes..

So. the summer has finally arrived. I leave for home this weekend. Then I have two months before hoping on a plane to go do NYOC again. I'll be taking a summer course while at home. I am so tired from this semester. This semester has been the craziest EVER, so much work, so much stress, so much.. busy-ness. It's unbelievable I survived. I think if I didn't have God to set me back in place, I don't think I would have gotten as far as I have. I can not begin to describe some of the major events that happened this semester, but they have been major, and I've been discovering new things about myself every day which I have been learning from. Anyways, I plan to come back to dA once I'm back home, and I really want to get my art back up. I either want to start a project of some sort (maybe I'll start that lilo and stitch experiment thing up again), or just start taking commissions hard core again. That will get me back!

but first I'd need people to commission me.. bleh. Just posting now because I haven't forever.. even though I check dA like, every second day. I miss my online friends, and have been thinking of you lately, just letting you know that... That is all for now!!

I'd say I'm sorry that you had a rough semester but if it had not been for that, could you say you would have grow upon your own character otherwise? You wouldn't have had to rely on God. Funny how what seems like is hindering us is truthfully merely preparing and progressing us. :] But you knew all of this already, haha.

More art from you, I hope to see that! 8D I have to admit that I miss the Kae art. As fates would have it, to coin a phrase, perhaps we'll both get back into drawing this summer. It would be nice, hm?

Anyway, hope to talk with you soon and catch up. Keep trucking! :]

There's this really amazing person [fez] (you should totally look up her art posts, her number is 25818, she doesn't have DA) and her sales can go for up to the $100s.
im sure you could make alot on there too. C:
mostly people want these things called tags, which is just their character on a (max.) 150x150 size, but you don't have to draw that small. you can draw big and resize. lots of people think that you have to. xD
and people like to buy characters. there was once a character that went for $40. thats the highest ive seen for those though. xD

anyways. sorry for rambling. xD I just love the site so much.
